Year 12 trip to The Tower of London
On Friday, 5th July, Year 12 travelled to Central London. There they visited the Tower of London, and the ‘Six Lives’ exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery. At the Tower an excellent tour guide challenged our A-Level students with pertinent questions based on the primary sources that are on display around the Tower.
After a quick lunch stop, students visited an exhibition showcasing sources based around the lives of Henry’s six wives. There they saw a number of items on offer - including the first Bible to be written in English, to the costumes used in the musical ‘The Six.’
