Winter Reward Trip
On Friday 3rd February 2023, the Ruislip High School Winter Reward Trip took place. The trip, to Cineworld Ruislip, saw nearly 400 students attend a private screening of the brilliant film adaptation of ‘Matilda the Musical’.
The Winter Reward trip celebrates the students who have maintained excellent attendance and behaviour throughout the Autumn Term. 485 students in Years 7-11 qualified for the trip, which amounts to nearly 50% of the student body in those year groups, highlighting the exceptionally high standards of behaviour we have at the school.
Students thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon out, with all being treated to a bag of popcorn and a drink on arrival. Spread across two screens, the atmosphere amongst the students was fantastic - with one screen clapping along to the song ‘Revolting Children’ and cheering heartily at the end of the film.
Luke, Year 11, who attended the trip said: “It was a really fun afternoon out. It was also nice to be able to mix with other year groups and celebrate our success together.”
Mr Gibbs, who helped organise the trip, told us: “Arranging a trip to the cinema with such high numbers is no mean feat! However, when you see how much the students enjoy themselves and get an afternoon to relax after all their hard work - all the planning that goes into the trip is completely worth it.”
Thank you to all of the staff who supported the trip and well done to every student who qualified for a place on the trip.
