Waterstones Trip
On Tuesday 21st November, students from Year 7 at RHS visited Waterstones in Tottenham Court Road, along with Mr Tibbey, Ms Bonny and Miss Jiang. This was an inaugural trip, forming part of RHS’s Above & Beyond provision designed to promote the importance of reading at home. Students were able to spend time exploring the range of books available in Waterstones and each thoughtfully selected a book to read, ranging in genre from adventure to sports. Once students had their books, they were able to start reading them with a hot drink in the cafe.
Students thoroughly enjoyed walking down to Oxford Circus and seeing the Christmas lights and decorations. Staff were extremely impressed by the student’s impeccable behaviour, particularly on busy public transport. Luca said “It was really fun, they had a really good range of books, we got to see the Christmas lights at Oxford Street and I even got a cup of tea!”. Mr Tibbey and Ms Bonny would like to thank Miss Jiang for giving up her time to assist the students.
