Summer Music Concert

On Wednesday 3rd July, 2024, Ms Nastou and the Music Department presented an ambitious and vibrant evening of music inspired by the world of film. This was the Music Department’s third concert of the year, with each one showcasing our students’ high-calibre musical talents - and this latest concert was no exception. 

There were a variety of performances throughout the concert. Firstly, the solo singers shone brightly with a selection of songs chosen that perfectly matched the singers' talents, both in character and musicality. The RHS band, as always, delivered a powerful performance of a ‘Lord of the Rings’ medley, much to the enjoyment of all. 

A particularly poignant moment came when the departing Year 13 singers, Libby, Holly and Keira, took the stage for the last time. Their final performance was as stunning as always and we will miss their exceptional talent - we do hope that they keep up singing on the next stage of their journeys. 

Overall, it was a fantastic night that demonstrated that a concert at RHS is an unmissable event. The dedication of Ms Nastou and the students created an evening that served as a wonderful end to the Summer Term for all. Congratulations to everyone involved for making it such a memorable experience.
