RHS Celebrates A Level Results Day
On Thursday 15th August 2024, we were delighted to open our school doors for A Level Results Day. The day always marks an exciting milestone for our Year 13s, as our students receive the results recognising all of their hard work and look to their futures beyond Ruislip High School. We are incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication students have shown throughout their studies. Their resilience and commitment have truly paid off, and today’s results reflect the countless hours of effort they’ve invested into their education.
We are delighted to announce that 53% of all grades awarded were A*-B grades, with 75% of all grades awarded A*-C grades. The vast majority of students received the grades required to progress to their chosen destinations, including a range of prestigious universities and apprenticeships.
Firstly, congratulations to Alisha who achieved A/A/A and will be heading to UCL to study medicine. Alisha told us: “I am so happy. It has always been my dream to study medicine and now I am on my way to do it! Thank you to all of my teachers; I could not have done it without you. Studying at RHS Sixth Form has been incredible - the teaching is amazing.”
Bradley is ecstatic that his results have secured his place on an apprenticeship in Constructive Project Management with Transport for London. He said: “I have to start off by saying thank you to everyone at RHS. I have worked very hard to get here, but I could not have done it without the support I have received from the school. I am so excited to start my apprenticeship, but I will miss Ruislip High School. It has been the best seven years.”
Scarlett, who achieved A/A/A, is going to study Law at Bristol University. She said: “It feels very weird to be leaving, but I am very excited to be heading to university. I am so glad I came to RHS Sixth Form; the people here are lovely and it has such a family feel.”
Finally, we are thrilled that two of our A-level Drama students were successful in their applications to prestigious drama schools. Firstly, Simmeceia will be heading to Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts to study Acting. Secondly, Lily has accepted a place at Rose Bruford in European Theatre Studies. Lily commented: “I am very happy to be going to Rose Bruford next year. The course looks very exciting and I cannot wait to study the subject I love in depth. Thank you to Mr Randall for all of the support he has given me to help me achieve a place.”
Mr Peacock, Head of Sixth Form, said: “We are delighted that a record number of students have secured places at university, alongside prestigious apprenticeships. This is testament to the incredible hard work and dedication of the students and staff. We wish all of our students the best for the future.”
Education is all about partnership and we would also like to thank all of our parents for the support throughout the students’ seven-year journey at our school. Congratulations again to all of our Sixth Form students and all the best for life beyond Ruislip High School.
