RHS & Sacred Heart Maths Competition

On Wednesday 3rd July, 2024, students from Sacred Heart Primary School joined our students in Year 7 to take part in a Maths challenge. The challenge tested their resilience, perseverance and problem solving skills, as well as their ability to work as a team.

The competition consisted of the classic ‘24 Game’, an interactive maths trail, which included a variety of problems solving questions and questions inspired by the TV show, “The 1% Club”. The competition was fierce all day, and eventually the gold medal had to be decided between a tie breaker question - which saw Sacred Heart (Team D) come out on top and take home the gold!

The competition was supported by four Year 10 volunteers (Clementine, Honey, Kiya and Nadine) who were fantastic ambassadors for the school and helped to ensure the competition ran smoothly.

Mr Ladhani, Director of Maths, said: “The event was a great way to make use of the EcoHub at Ruislip High School. The competition allowed students to complete a Maths trail in the outdoor classroom. Congratulations to Sacred Heart D who won the Gold medal.”

Students from both schools had an enjoyable time and the Maths Department looks forward to hosting many more competitions next academic year.
