GCSE Results
Ruislip High School’s Year 11 cohort received their GCSE results today. Students have worked incredibly hard over the past two years and today has been a day of joy as students celebrated their successes.
Overall, students attained exceptionally well, with 37% of grades awarded at 9-7, 71% at 9-5 and 84% at 9-4. The overwhelming majority of students attained the grades required to move onto their chosen next level of education with the majority of the year group continuing their studies at Ruislip High School’s Sixth Form.
After the uncertainty of the past few years, students were understandably nervous when they opened their results but these feelings soon changed to those of pride and happiness when it was confirmed to them that their hard work had been rewarded.
Daniel F who achieved straight 9 grades said: “I would like to thank all of the staff at Ruislip High, especially Mr Ladhani who has been my form tutor since Year 7. He has helped me with my personal as well as my academic development over the years”.
Another elated student was Ibtisam K who worked hard throughout the two years to surpass her already ambitious targets. She said, “It still hasn’t processed but I am feeling so proud. I would like to thank my maths and science teachers in particular for all of their help.”
Amber W was beaming and said, “I’m really pleased with my results. Thank you to all of my teachers, especially for their hard work during the pandemic to help us all do so well. Congratulations to everyone who got their results today”.
Ella D was very happy with her results and said, “Thank you so much to Ms Hide, Ms Walkinshaw and Ms Loizou. I am so pleased with my results and I know I was able to achieve them with the hard work and support from my teachers”.
