KS4 Curriculum Options 2025-2027

Year 9 into Year 10 GCSE Options

During the first three years of secondary school, your child has followed a broad and balanced curriculum in line with National Curriculum guidelines. As they move into Year 10, they will begin courses that lead to Level 2 qualifications, including GCSEs and BTECs.

All students will study a core curriculum consisting of English Language, English Literature, Mathematics, Science, PE, and Citizenship.

This guide outlines the optional subjects available, the selection process, and key deadlines. We encourage students to carefully consider their interests, strengths, and future aspirations when making their choices, with support from parents and carers in this important decision-making process.

Year 9 Options Evening: Thursday 27th February 2025 - 4.30pm until 7pm

Deadline for students to make their optional choices: Thursday 20th March 2025
