School Receptionist/Administrator -

CLOSING DATE: Tuesday 23rd January at 10:00am

Salary: £18,842-£19,262 per annum (Grade 4 inclusive of Outer London Weighting)

Hours: 40 hours per week (8:00am to 4:30pm) - term time only (plus 5 in-service training days)

Contract: Fixed-term appointment until December 2018, with a possible extension until September 2019 when the role will be reviewed in line with the needs of the organisation.

Ruislip High School is looking to appoint a highly organised and efficient person with excellent communication skills to join our office team as the main school receptionist. You will be flexible, capable of using your initiative and able to work as part of a team, with a clear confident telephone manner and the ability to work under pressure. As the first point of contact for the school, you will create a friendly but professional impression. You will also be expected to work closely with other members of staff and liaise with students and parents, ensuring the smooth running of the school’s administrative functions. 

The post-holder will also provide appropriate medical welfare support to students and support the office manager to keep up-to-date medical records. First aid training will be provided, as appropriate.

The successful candidate will need to be computer literate, familiar with Microsoft Office and in using email.  Experience of using SIMS (Schools Information Management System) is desirable; however, training will be given on SIMS, if required.
