RAG Week 2016

The week beginning Monday 17th October was the annual RAG (raising and giving) week for the school’s charities.

Organised by the Sixth Form, the event raised money for Orchyd, Young Minds and ActionAid. There were events taking place for every year group, including a break time penalty shoot-out, a silent disco and the Great Ruislip Bake-off. Sixth Form students also washed staff cars to raise money.

A big highlight of the week was in Thursday 20th October’s Year 8 assembly where a “lip sync battle” took place, with students miming with dance routines to pop songs. One of the stand-out performances was 8D’s medley of ‘Thriller’, ‘I Really Like You’ and ‘Miss Me When I’m Gone’.

'The Year 7 students really enjoyed playing the football tournament. Running the tournament has really helped me with my organisational skills and it was great to raise money for charity. It has been a really good week.'  Ibrahim, Year 12
