Panathlon Competition 2017

On Friday 20th January 2017 three Ruislip High students took part in the first heat of this year’s Panathlon competition which was held at Featherstone High School. The students competed alongside students from other Hillingdon schools against other boroughs, namely Richmond, Hounslow and Ealing.

James, 10C, Samantha, 10W and Kavindu, 8C, took part in individual sports as well as relays. James and Kavindu won bronze medals for power chair slalom and silver medals for beanbag throwing. Samantha won a bronze medal for table cricket and a silver medal for javelin.

The highlight of the day was the exciting relay races in which students of all abilities took part. The atmosphere was incredible as the points from the races led team Hillingdon to the winning position! Overall the Ruislip High students helped the Hillingdon team to win this years first heat and they will now represent West London in the next round at St Mary’s University on 17th March 2017.
